EXPLORE PRODUCT FEASIBILITY
Are you a scientist or engineer who has a new technological breakthrough, and want to confirm that it can be made into a product? Our engineers perform early discovery work to help you prove out your concept for feasibility. We call this Phase 0 of our Product Development Process.
A few examples of early technology feasibility exploration that our team has performed include:
- Determining if there is a motor, drive train and battery combination capable of delivering enough power to perform a mixing operation in 30 seconds, yet still fit with a compact size at a reasonable cost. (Yes, there was, and the result is captured in the award-winning Opulus Luxury Skincare Device).
- Determining the possible size and how to best simplify the design of a new handheld printing technology.
- Creating a full product development plan for a medical device. This includes asking questions to better understand the end product goals, advising on the FDA requirements, figuring out which technology would benefit from feasibility prototypes, assessing risks, and giving an estimate for the full product development effort.
- Developing multiple rapid prototypes/concepts for vascular monitoring devices for Oregon Health and Sciences University
