Simplexity CEO, Dorota Shortell, speaks at WE24 in Chicago, IL
On October 24, 2024, Dorota spoke about bringing a new product to market at WE24, presented by SWE (Society of Women Engineers) the world’s largest conference for women in engineering and technology with more than 17,000 attendees.
Attendees of "How to Develop and Bring a New Product to Market" learned about the product development process, what it costs to develop a product, and ongoing costs with distributing and selling it to consumers.

On October 16 - 17, 2024, Doug attended the #1 Event for Commercial Robotics Developers in in Santa Clara, California to better learn which technologies are commercially viable, and which are still years away.

Simplexity San Diego hosts an Open House and Readiness Panel with SEACOMP

Simplexity attends Arm Institute's annual meeting
The ARM Institute, the nation’s leading robotics & AI manufacturing innovation institute hosted their annual meeting in September 2024. Doug Harriman and Dorota Shortell enjoyed meeting ARM members, seeing the robots in action, and learning about advances in robotics.
Dorota also presented a pitch during the annual meeting and Simplexity Product Development joined ARM as a new member to the organization.

on June 8th, 2023, Dorota presented the keynote address discussing how product development processes used in industry can be leveraged in design education. It was a lively discussion with all the design educators from top engineering universities around the country.
Supported by Harvey Mudd College, the workshop brought together engineering educators, designers, and researchers to articulate the relevant issues of process in engineering design education.

The Nailbot by Preemadonna is celebrating its launch as a CES Innovation Awards Honoree!
Simplexity’s team assisted Preemadonna with detailed engineering including integrating printer functionality, designing custom firmware and PCAs, and prototyping.
What started as a novel product idea has grown into an award-winning, connected, at-home fingernail decorating device featuring inkjet printing technology, Bluetooth, and smartphone connectivity.

Simplexity Partners With Illumina to Build Emergency Box Shields for Healthcare Workers
Intubation and the steps leading up to it are some of the highest-risk moments for COVID-19 spread to healthcare workers. We volunteered alongside with our client Illumina to build Emergency Box Shields to help protect healthcare workers.
So far, 27 boxes have been donated to hospitals while additional boxes are being prepared for delivery. We can't thank Illumina enough for letting us assist in this urgent project and we look forward to contributing more in the fight against COVID-19.
Simplexity Donates Materials and Labor to Support the Production of Alpha Doan's Face Shields Project
When Alpha Doan asked Simplexity for recommendations to streamline the manufacturing process for his face shields project, it was all hands on deck. Not only did the team step in to donate materials and labor to support the production, our youngest honorary team member Aidan Duong assisted with the production process.
Simplexity helped produce 500 of the 800 face shields distributed as production continues and we are proud to be included in this lifesaving project!
